We are seeking a motivated Badminton Coach to conduct the Club’s badminton training programs. You will be responsible for the on-court delivery of the Club’s badminton training to players of all ages, skill levels, and competitive ambitions across the entire competitive spectrum.
This role requires technical coaching expertise. It demands discipline, structure, good communication, empathy and patience.
The ideal candidate is someone with exceptional coaching and communication skills, a track record of developing athletes and coaches, and a fundamental belief in the importance of helping foster a fun, disciplined and productive training environment.
As a Badminton Coach, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
DUTIES
- Follow and uphold the Club’s coaching standards, philosophy, and athlete development framework.
- On-court delivery of training programs to players of varying ages, skill levels, and lesson types.
- Adhere to training schedules, curriculum, and program progression.
- Assess student performance and level of play and provide feedback accordingly.
- Support athletes in setting and achieving individual training and competition goals.
- Report directly to the Head Coach(s) and Club management.
- Collaborate with fellow coaches and Partnered Athletes to coach students effectively.
- Provide performance feedback and guidance to students.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and optimal work and storage space and ensure equipment is in good condition..
- Support building a positive, disciplined, safe, and inclusive training environment.
- Communicate effectively with collaborators, students and parents.
- Support Club tournaments through participation and coaching of participating students.
- Recommend improvements to training programs and coaching practices directly to the Head Coach(s).
- Represent the Club in a professional manner and contribute to its growth and reputation within the badminton community.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Obtain and maintain insurance, at a minimum:
- Commercial General Liability Insurance with coverage of not less than $5,000,000 per occurrence, including coverage for bodily injury, property damage, injury to participants, and liability arising from sports coaching, instruction, training, competitions, camps, clinics, and related activities; and,
- Professional Liability / Errors and Omissions Insurance with coverage of not less than $2,000,000 per claim, covering claims arising from the Contractor’s coaching, instruction, athlete assessment, training program development, professional advice, supervision, and other Services performed under this Agreement.
- Candidates must be willing to get certified by the National Coaching Certification Program.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in coaching Badminton.
- Understanding of the sport’s history and evolution of training methodologies.
- Excellent time management skills, critical thinking, and ability to prioritize tasks optimally.
- Growth focused mindset and good perspective taking skills for customers and developing athletes.
- Initiative and forward thinking to effectively prepare for lessons, anticipate issues, and adjust to changes.
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

COMPENSATION
We offer a competitive wage of CAD $26.00/hour – $52.00/hour.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head Coach to spearhead the development and delivery of the Club’s badminton training programs, from the ground up. You will be responsible for the end-to-end establishment of the Club’s badminton training and coaching operations: designing, implementing, overseeing, and continuously refining training programs for players of all ages, skill levels, and competitive ambitions across the entire competitive spectrum.
Working directly with Club Management, you will inherit some existing structures while building new systems, standards, and processes necessary to elevate and scale the Club’s long-term coaching operations. This includes coordinating the recruitment, mentorship, scheduling, and supervision of assistant coaches and Partnered Athletes; providing regular feedback and development direction to athletes and staff; and contributing to program planning, staffing strategy, resource allocation, and financial tracking.
This role requires more than technical coaching expertise. It demands leadership, structure, foresight, and operational rigor. You will be expected to establish sustainable systems, clear standards, and a disciplined coaching culture that ensures consistency, accountability, and excellence as the Club continues to grow.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with exceptional coaching and communication skills, a track record of developing athletes and coaches, and a fundamental belief in the importance of fostering a positive, disciplined, and highly productive training environment.
As a Head Coach, your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
DUTIES
Program Architecture & Curriculum Development
- Develop, document, and maintain the Club’s coaching philosophy and standardized training methodology, including technical, tactical, physical, and mental development frameworks, swing mechanics, movement patterns, footwork systems, and athlete progression models.
- Design, implement, and continuously refine structured training programs and long-term curriculum across all ages, skill levels, and development pathways using measurable learning objectives, progression milestones, athlete retention, performance outcomes, and program feedback.
On-Court Coaching & Training Delivery
- Deliver high-quality on-court coaching across all ages and skill levels, from recreational and developmental to competitive and high-performance athletes.
- Conduct private, semi-private, and group training sessions tailored to athletes’ individual abilities, goals, and development needs.
Athlete Development & Performance
- Regularly assess athletes through structured evaluations, match analysis, and technical reviews to identify strengths, weaknesses, and growth opportunities, while providing individualized development plans and supporting goal setting.
- Prepare athletes for competition through tactical analysis, match strategy, mental preparation, and competition-specific training, while providing in-competition coaching support at tournaments when required.
Coaching Leadership & Quality Assurance
- Recruit, onboard, mentor, schedule, and supervise coaches who align with the Club’s standards, ensuring consistent implementation of the Club’s coaching philosophy and methodology.
- Audit training delivery and implement quality-control systems through session reviews, coach evaluations, standardization meetings, and performance feedback to maintain coaching quality, professionalism, athlete engagement, and discipline.
Operations, Planning & Resource Management
- Forecast staffing needs and support scheduling, resource allocation, and operational planning in alignment with program growth, athlete enrollment, seasonal demand, and facility usage.
- Collaborate with Club Management, Partnered Athletes, guest coaches, and external resources while maintaining safe, organized, and fully operational coaching spaces, equipment, and training resources to support strategic growth and uninterrupted program delivery.
Culture, Communication & Club Representation
- Foster a disciplined, safe, inclusive, and motivating training environment that promotes accountability, respect, sportsmanship, punctuality, and continuous growth.
- Maintain professional communication with athletes, parents, coaches, and Club Management while serving as a visible ambassador for the Club in competitions, partnerships, community events, and professional networks.

COMPENSATION
We offer a competitive salary of CAD$87,000.00 ($41.82/hour) – $175,000.00 ($84.13/hour). This role is also eligible for a discretionary bonus and additional benefits, which together make up the total compensation package, in line with our company’s philosophy to recognize and reward employee contributions.
