When will Smash Champs be open?

Due to some recent setbacks, our new plan is a staggered opening:

Why is opening delayed?

We’ve encountered what we believe to be a manufacturing defect with the floors. We have worked out a temporary solution with our supplier to scuff up the faulty surface layer to improve its grippiness while we wait for BWF Certified Victor Mats to arrive. Once that is complete in Q1 2025 will we be ready to fully open.

What are your hours of operation?

Weekdays | 01:00PM – 10:00PM

Weekends | 10:00AM – 10:00PM

What kind of club is Smash Champs?

Every journey starts somewhere and at the beginning Smash Champs is going to differentiate itself with its convenient location just East of the Port Mann bridge and competition-class facilities.

In the longer-term, our goal is to create a badminton club that is more than just a place to play. Through our pro shop, exclusive member services, and community events, we aim to turn Smash Champs into the center of your badminton life.

Members? Do I need a Membership?

We will offer a healthy range of membership options as low as $7.50/year for kids to $30/year for adults.

Members will be allowed to book court rentals, sign-up for drop-in play, participate in our ladders, and will be eligible for members-only deals in our pro shop.

To get the most out of Smash Champs, we recommend our Premium Membership. This will include unlimited (subject to availability) drop-in and ladder play, access to our Fitness Gym and Members Lounge, (anything else we are ready to commit).

Why did you choose a Membership model?

A world class facility doesn’t come cheap, and membership dues will contribute the funds we need to continue to invest in new benefits for our community.

A membership model also allows us to maintain our high standards for player conduct and fairness in play. Arguments, cheating, facility damage, and other undesirable behavior will result in a suspension, to ensure that we can maintain a positive atmosphere for our members.

What kind of programs and activities will Smash Champs offer?

Our game plan is to slowly roll out an exciting roster of activities. To start, we’re bringing back a classic that has gone out of style in many other facilities since COVID – Drop-in Badminton. In the longer term, we aspire to bring you affordable senior, student, and family drop ins, as well as social and competitive ladders, and tournaments too!

How much does it cost to book a court? And how do I rent a court?

We offer a competitive range of prices for court rentals! Click here for a breakdown of prices to find the perfect time for you to play! When court rentals become available for booking, you will be able to book through our member portal. More information on this soon!

How much does it cost for a drop-in session? And how do I sign up?

Our soft opening offers drop-in sessions 7 days a week! For a LIMITED TIME some of these sessions will be FREE to play!

Will Smash Champs host badminton tournaments?

No question about it! Stay tuned for our Grand Opening Tournament!

Will you have training programs?

Yes! We’ve partnered with ClearOne Badminton Center! Together, we aim to bring you the best and the brightest coaches to help you reach your badminton milestones. Make sure to check out ClearOne’s website or reach out directly to them to get more information.

Can I coach my students here?

We won’t be permitting freelance coaching during our soft opening. We hope to introduce a professional membership add-on, which will grant coaching privileges around Q1 of 2025. Members will need to meet certain requirements (TBD) in order to qualify for the Professional Membership. Please keep your eye out for details about this professional add-on!

Can I rent equipment?

Yes, we do! Please see here for our equipment rental rates!

Do you offer stringing service? How much does it cost?

Yep! And we guarantee your racquet back within 72 hours! Our prices can vary depending on the service you pick. See here to find the right stringing service for you!
